  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 ¼ cups Robin Hood® Original All Purpose Flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 10” (25 cm) spring form pan.
  • Cream butter and sugars together until well combined. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add applesauce and vanilla.
  • Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add to butter mixture. Beat until flour mixture is incorporated into butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Pat dough evenly into prepared pan.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Center should still be a little soft. Cool on wire rack. Slice into wedges.
