Organic coconut flour is a unique and delicious alternative to wheat flour. It’s made with only one ingredient - finely ground organic coconuts.
With a light texture and no preservatives, additives or bleaching agents, organic coconut flour is a non-grain and gluten free way to add a unique sweetness to your baking or cooking and is a very high source of fibre.
It is great for use in your favourite keto/paleo recipes.
How to use coconut flour:
- In recipes that have been specifically developed for coconut flour.
- Combined with other non-grain flours (such as Almond) or Robin Hood Gluten Free Flour Blend.
- Added to any recipe calling for wheat flour.

For Great results, Follow These Guidelines:Coconut flour is not a 1:1 substitute for wheat flour. Instead, substitute up to 25% of wheat flour with coconut flour in recipes. And because coconut flour is 4x more absorbent than wheat flour, the liquid in the recipe may need to be increased by the equivalent amount of coconut flour used. For example, if 2 tbsp (30mL) of coconut flour is substituted for wheat flour, increase the liquid in the recipe by 2 tbsp (30mL). Start by just adding flour and then increasing the liquid if necessary to your desired texture.
Coconut flour adds a moist texture to baked goods – so it’s best not to substitute it in recipes where a crispy texture is desired such as pizza crust or focaccia.
Tips:The batter may seem thicker than usual, but that is normal for this type of flour. This means some baked goods such as cookies and pancakes will spread less, so it may be necessary to flatten before baking/cooking.

What Is A Manufacturing Code, And How Do I Read It?
The manufacturing code is the date the product was made. It should look something like this:

The first one or two numbers represent the year it was made. For instance, the 13 or 3 in our example codes means it was made in 2013. A number 12 or 2 would mean it was made in 2012, and so on.

The next three numbers represent the day of the year the product was made. In our example, the 365 (or three hundred and sixty-fifth day of the year) is December 31.

The following sets of numbers are further plant codes (i.e. plant number, time of production, etc.) and have nothing to do with the date of manufacture.
For best results, use Coconut Flour in recipes specifically developed for it.
While Coconut Flour is not a 1:1 substitution for wheat flours, it can be used to replace up to 1/4 of the total amount of wheat flours in many baking recipes.
Coconut flour is extremely absorbent (it absorbs 4x its’ weight in liquid) – therefore when using it as a substitute for wheat flour, the amount of liquid in the recipe will need to be increased, generally by the same amount of coconut flour used.
For example, if 1/4 cup (50mL) of coconut flour is used, the liquid in the recipe should be increased by the same amount. In the case of cookies, the amount of eggs may need to increase.
The consistency of the batter will be thicker, which is to be expected with coconut flour. This means that cookies and pancakes will spread less than usual.
Recommended for: Cakes, quick breads, muffins, pancakes, and soft cookies.

- Contact your healthcare provider if you think you have become ill from eating raw dough or batter or from consuming or handling a flour product.
