Ingredients

  • Pizza Crust
  • 1 ¾ cup Robin Hood® Gluten Free Flour Blend
  • 1 tbsp instant quick rise yeast
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water (105°-115°F/40°-56°C)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • Topping
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh basil

Serving Size: 8 slices

Directions

Serving Size: 8 slices

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Whisk together flour blend, yeast, sugar and salt in a large bowl of an electric mixer.  In a measuring cup, combine water and 1 tbsp (15 mL) olive oil. With mixer on low speed, gradually add water mixture. Beat on medium high speed for 4 minutes.
  • Transfer dough to prepared baking sheet. You can make one large pizza or divide dough in eight for small pizzas. With damp fingers, shape dough into a ball and flatten to 1/8” (0.3 cm) thickness.  Brush with remaining tbsp. (15 mL) olive oil.
  • Bake in preheat oven 30 to 35 minutes until edges are golden and crispy. Remove from oven. Spread tomato sauce over crust. Sprinkle with cheese and chopped basil. Return to oven and bake for additional 12 to 15 minutes until cheese has melted.
